The Dawning Dream Setting
“Wrest yourselves away from the prying eyes of the world, for we have brandished their pride. Recluse away, quietly wait, and carefully study as the flow of time passes around you.” -a section from the Teachings of Dazenth the Shining
Born as hatchlings and thus molded and forged to be a strong and independent people, Drakklings vary in personality and ambitions to their scales and heritage. Long ago, as the great fearsome Drakes were slain and dwindled to minuscule numbers, the survivors fled with what little followers they had. Far south of Albion, legend tells of a bestial and destructive landscape that remains the final resting place of the remaining Drakes. Before sealing themselves away for an eternity, the Drakes gave to their devoted few the gift of their blood. Humans and a handful of other races in the cult were thus turned into the first Drakklings.
To this day, it is said that every Drakkling possesses the ability to tap into their drakkonic bloodlines and alter the flow of mana as it passes in the world. Furthermore, its known to be true that these devoted followers still protect the Drakes and their resting places as well as teach their young the lessons they were taught when they transformed. Many Drakklings believe that one day, at the turning of the age, their masters shall rise from their tombs to guide and establish their people once more. Some whisper that these strange scaled people also often hope the Drakes will lead them to unify and rule the known world whence they return.

The DC for this saving throw equals 8 + your Constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus. A creature takes 2d6 damage on a failed save, and half as much damage on a successful one.
